Kathy Medlin - LMFT Associate

It takes immense courage to reach out for support, and you should be commended for taking the first step—or for beginning the journey again. With more than nine years of experience in professional and biblical counseling, I am privileged to walk alongside you as you pursue healing, hope, and lasting change.

I enjoy working with adolescents (ages 15 and older), individuals, couples, and families as they navigate the complexities of relationships and mental well-being. Whether you are seeking personal healing, managing life transitions, anxiety, depression, trauma, or other mental health concerns, I will walk alongside you in your journey. I also work with couples who are preparing for marriage, strengthening an already healthy relationship, or working through deep-seated challenges within their marriage, family, or other relationships. My goal is to provide a safe, compassionate, and empathetic space where you feel truly heard. Together, we will work toward finding hope, experiencing healing, and learning to thrive—not just survive.

My approach integrates techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), the Gottman Method, Prepare/Enrich, and, upon request, biblical counseling. I believe that every client is unique, which is why I prioritize personalized care plans tailored to your specific goals. Together, we will build the tools you need for a healthier, more fulfilling tomorrow.

In my free time, I enjoy walking in nature, watching the leaves change colors in the fall and seeing the flowers bloom in the spring. I love thrifting, crafting, trying foods from different cultures, and visiting amusement parks for both the food, fun, fellowship and the rides. I also enjoy traveling to the mountains and the beach to experience God’s beautiful creation. My favorite title is Aunt!! Spending time with family and friends, loving on my cat, and attending concerts—or simply listening to music at home—are some of my favorite pastimes.
