Janelle Thompson - Intern Therapist
Janelle Thompson is currently a counseling student with a heart for the nations and a deep desire to see people experience healing and wholeness through the gospel. She graduated from Toccoa Falls College in 2016 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, concentrating in International Studies, and minoring in Marketing and Biblical Studies. From 2021 to 2023, she served in Strasbourg, France through the International Mission Board's Journeyman program, where the Lord not only deepened her love for Him and for people, but also brought her together with her now-husband.
It was during this season of ministry that God began to stir in her a passion for counseling as a means of soul care and discipleship. In obedience to that call, she is now pursuing a counseling degree at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC. Janelle currently works at Onehope Refuge, a Christ-centered safe home for women coming out of trafficking situations, where she is growing in both compassion and clinical skill.
Her ultimate desire is to return to the mission field with her husband, serving missionaries through gospel-centered counseling, encouragement, and partnership.
