Amelia Pollock - Intern Therapist

Amelia is currently enrolled at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and working toward a Master's in Christian Marital, Family, and Individual Counseling. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2018 from Gordon State College.

Amelia desires to assist clients toward healing and recovery through genuine care for her client’s psychological, physical, and spiritual health. Amelia is dedicated to partnering with each client by understanding their unique experiences and addressing their challenges in a holistic manner. Amelia has a Biblical approach to counseling while also using clinical modalities. Her counseling technique seeks to integrate elements from theories such as Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

Amelia’s current and past professional experience influences her desire to work with various populations. Her areas of interest include, but are not limited to anxiety, depression, cross-cultural workers, self-harm, premarital and marital counseling, emotional dysregulation, self-esteem, personal growth, and life transitions. She desires for all clients to feel welcomed, safe, seen, and heard as they are working toward their goals.

In her free time, Amelia enjoys running, going on walks with her husband and dog, thrift shopping, and spending time with friends and family.
